There is one small thing that bothers me about the Boeing 787-9/10 Dreamliners.
Now, don't get me wrong, these planes are awesome, they're smooth, comfortable and the wings kinda flex when there is turbulence. I will attach a video below (as a reward for you reading till the end)!
There's just one small tiny critique. And it is easily solvable. It's very much a first world problem...the toilet flush buttons. More specifically, the fact that the toilet flush button is also sensor activated*.
Figured out the small problem yet? No?
Well, when you are sitting on the toilet doing your own business, you may accidentally trigger the sensor, especially when you're stretching or leaning backwards...particularly with the placement of the button and sensor. Most importantly, the surprise factor of this is insane, the vacuum system of an aircraft lavatory is really intense under normal circumstances but is absolutely terrifying when you least expect it.
Below is an image showing the positioning of the button, now you can make your opinions whether or not it was worth it to post about this!
Credit to these bathrooms, there is a 15 second delay between flushes so you won't constantly get hit with bathroom flushes every few seconds if you do accidentally fall asleep on the toilet...if this happens at all?
Now here's the video of a B787-10 wing flexing!
Happy Travels...especially if you're travelling on a 787! :)
*I'm not too sure if all B787 bathrooms are sensor activated but from my experience and most of the online forums indicate that most B787 bathroom flush buttons are sensor activated
